Introducing - Atheana Fulgencio

Hello fellow ENERNerd!

My name is Atheana Fulgencio, and I am a fourth year UC Berkeley student pursuing a major in Conservation Resource Studies with the focus on Green Energy Business and Policy. Growing up in San Francisco and going to school at Berkeley has definitely shaped my interest around energy efficiency and conservation.

I have proudly taken a part in a variety of environmental student groups. As an intern for UC Berkeley’s Sustainability Team, I engaged with a multitude of environmental groups on the UC Berkeley campus all with the goal of identifying the obstacles to clean energy in the Berkeley community. I was then the liaison between the chairmen of Berkeley and the students and took the responsibility of writing and proposing bills of action to alleviate pressing concerns. I was also involved in Berkeley’s Focus the Nation which is a student run group that accelerates the campus’ transformation to a clean energy future by fostering connections between generations and empowers peers through education.

I am also very interested in solar and had the amazing opportunity to work for a solar company called Sungevity. There, I learned how to custom build photovoltaic systems for residential houses through proprietary software. After graduation, I will be working for Pacific Gas and Electric as a Business Analyst.

On my free time, I enjoy going on trail runs, trying new restaurants and looking through fashion blogs!
