Bio and Research Interests

Sophia is an undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley majoring in Environmental Sciences. She is an outreach coordinator for the CoolClimate Network in the Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory. Sophia’s research interests include effective education strategies regarding the impact of resource consumption, methods to better engage individuals with their carbon footprint, and energy efficiency design and implementation.

Past Experience

Sophia's past experience includes private industry research on social perceptions of environmental issues such as electricity generation. In addition, Sophia has worked with non- profit organizations to research urban forest mortality and water usage in the west.
